For the first time, Nepal Music Center Trust hosted GLOMUS in Nepal, offering participants a unique opportunity to connect deeply with the country’s rich cultural heritage and awe-inspiring natural beauty. Set against the serene backdrop of Gokarna Forest, the event was not just about artistic growth—it was a celebration of the profound connection between nature and music.
GLOMUS (Global Music and Performing Arts Camp) is an international initiative that brings together students, teachers, managers, and artists from member countries to share in the joy of music, dance, and performance. It’s an event unlike any other, offering a platform for creative expression, cultural exchange, and professional development.
Since its inception, GLOMUS has taken place in countries such as Mozambique, Ghana, Tanzania, Malaysia, Brazil, Georgia, and Denmark. Each event fosters a unique atmosphere where participants can engage in collaborative artistic endeavors, attend performances, take part in workshops, and participate in debates that promote cross-cultural dialogue.
Throughout 10 days of immersive workshops, performances, and cultural exchanges, participants at GLOMUS 2024 took part in dynamic, hands-on experiences. From music lessons with top instructors to performances that bridged cultures, GLOMUS provided a platform for artistic exploration in one of the world’s most serene and inspiring settings. The deep connection between the natural world and artistic expression was ever-present, as Gokarna Forest became more than just a backdrop—it became an integral part of the creative experience.
